Flexible Hardware Architecture

The AKCP sensorProbeX+ was designed as a future-proof platform. With up to eight intelligent RJ45 ports, it covers both small installations and widespread infrastructures. Its modular structure allows expansion at any time with additional ports.

Dry contact inputs and outputs integrate classic building technology signals. This enables seamless connectivity with infrastructure components such as HVAC systems or fire alarms. With its low power consumption of around 1 watt, the monitoring hardware is highly efficient and ideally suited for 24/7 operation.

Integration into Enterprise Networks

The sensorProbeX+ supports SNMP monitoring (V1/V2/V3) as well as modern protocols. Through MQTT, HTTPS, or Rsyslog, monitoring data can be used in a wide variety of architectures. This makes it suitable for both traditional SNMP-based systems and modern cloud or edge environments.

Modbus integration over RS-485 expands possibilities in industrial facilities, enabling the connection of UPS units, generators, or complex building systems. This makes the sensorProbeX+ a universal foundation for industrial and facility monitoring.

PoE and Redundant Power

With Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, a single Ethernet cable provides both data and power, dramatically reducing cabling effort. If PoE is not available, redundant power inputs can be used. Support for both AC and DC increases system availability for mission-critical environments.

Virtual Sensors for Complex Scenarios

The AKCP sensorProbeX+ supports not only physical sensors but also virtual ones. These can calculate parameters such as dew point or temperature indices, or incorporate data from third-party systems like climate control or networking equipment.

Up to 300 combined physical and virtual sensors are supported, providing administrators with maximum flexibility in designing customized monitoring strategies.

Alarm Management and Automation

Fast response is key in IT environment monitoring. The sensorProbeX+ features powerful alarm management with configurable escalation chains. Notifications can include audible signals, visual alarms, encrypted e-mails, or SNMP traps.

Mini-relays can be used to control external equipment, such as activating fans, emergency lighting, or shutting down water valves. This transforms the monitoring hardware from a passive detection unit into an active component of a comprehensive security infrastructure.
