The AKCP RFID Swing Handle Cabinet Lock (SHL) sets new standards in data center security. This innovative system combines advanced RFID technology with centralized access management and is fully compatible with the AKCPro Server. Designed for universal fit and easy integration, the SHL suits nearly all standard 19" server cabinets on the market.

Universal Fit and Flexible Variants

Thanks to its universal design, the swing handle fits most standard racks from leading manufacturers. Connection is made via a single CAT5 cable that provides both data communication and power.

Advanced Security Features

The integrated proximity reader supports 125 kHz EM-Prox cards such as EM4100/EM4200/T5577. The reading distance is:

  • 0–3 cm for the standard version
  • 0–5 cm for SHL-DA (Dual Authentication)

Additional security features:

  • Fail-secure technology – remains locked in case of power failure
  • Manual key override function for emergencies
  • RGB LED indicator for lock, unlock, and error status
  • Audit trail logging for complete access tracking

Central Management via AKCPro Server

In combination with the AKCPro Server software, up to 16 cabinet locks can be centrally managed per sensorProbe+ unit. Administrators can:

  • Manage access rights (up to 500 users per device)
  • Analyze audit trails and live events
  • Configure time-based locking and unlocking schedules
  • Enable notifications for unauthorized access

The intuitive user interface provides visual status displays, alarm tracking, and full integration into your IT security infrastructure.

Dual Authentication for Maximum Security

The SHL-DA version provides dual authentication via PIN entry and RFID card. Alternatively, the PIN mode can be used alone—for example, at remote sites or guest access points. Temporary PINs can be assigned to external technicians without distributing RFID cards.

Third-party readers with Wiegand outputs (26/30/32 bit), including HID and MiFare cards, are also supported for enhanced system integration.

Each lock supports up to four additional integrated sensors (side, rear panel, or door monitoring), creating a complete 360° monitoring system. Events are reported in real time to the AKCPro Server.

As part of the AKCP Rack+ Intelligent Cabinet Solution, the RFID Swing Handle Lock can be combined with additional components:
