Comprehensive IT monitoring with the AKCP sensorProbe1+

AKCP sensorProbe1+

The continuously rising demands of modern IT and industrial environments require monitoring systems that are flexible, reliable, and scalable. With the AKCP sensorProbe1+, companies have access to a solution specifically tailored to these needs. Whether in server room monitoring, data center supervision, or industrial plant integration – the sensorProbe1+ provides a powerful foundation to safeguard and continuously optimize infrastructure.

The sensorProbe1+ represents the latest generation of AKCP's globally recognized monitoring hardware. This model combines compact design with cutting-edge processor performance, ensuring fast and precise data handling even at high sensor density. As a result, it is equally suited for small IT departments and operators of large infrastructures in telecommunications or utilities.

Hardware Platform of the sensorProbe1+

At its core, the sensorProbe1+ features a 32-bit ARM microcontroller clocked up to 460 MHz, supported by 1 MB of RAM and 64 MB of flash memory. This powerful hardware ensures near real-time data processing – essential for environments where critical sensor values must be detected without delay.

The monitoring device includes an auto-sense sensor port that instantly detects all AKCP sensors, such as temperature and humidity sensors, smoke detectors, motion sensors, or door contacts. Thanks to plug-and-play technology, setup is completed in minutes. Additionally, a dry contact input enables seamless integration of external systems and alarms.

User Interface and Monitoring Functions

The HTML5-based web interface is a central strength of the sensorProbe1+. Intuitively structured, it allows both experienced administrators and newcomers to quickly begin configuring the system. Customizable dashboards visualize critical parameters, including interactive graphs for temperature, humidity, and more.

A standout feature is rack mapping, which allows sensor values to be precisely located within server racks. This visual representation provides immediate oversight of infrastructure and highlights anomalies in real time – a huge advantage in data center environments where instant visibility is crucial.

Alarm Management with Flexible Options

Another core aspect of the sensorProbe1+ is its integrated alarm and notification system. Companies can define custom rules that trigger on threshold violations. Alerts can be delivered via audible hardware signals, SNMP traps, encrypted e-mails, or through integration with external systems.

Particularly valuable is its integration with the AKCPro Server. This allows centralized monitoring of large-scale deployments, ideal for expansive data centers and industrial sites. A simple notification wizard also enables administrators to configure alarm chains, escalation levels, and backup recipients with ease.

Virtual Sensors and Network Interfaces

The sensorProbe1+ goes beyond physical sensors, supporting up to 80 virtual sensors. This means external system data – such as HVAC, UPS, or routers – can be incorporated directly into monitoring. Compatibility with protocols like SNMP, Modbus, and MQTT ensures flexible integration with diverse device ecosystems.

Network security is also a priority: support for SNMPv3, encrypted HTTPS connections, and optional VPN tunneling safeguard all data transmissions. Power over Ethernet (PoE) reduces installation to a single cable while providing redundant power supply options.

Application Areas

The AKCP sensorProbe1+ has diverse use cases. In classic server room monitoring, it ensures IT teams maintain visibility of all environmental conditions. It is equally valuable in data center monitoring, telecommunications environments, and facility management applications for improving operational security.

The SP1+ is also ideal for industrial facilities, where continuous monitoring of production processes is critical. In such environments, it plays a vital role in minimizing disruptions and enhancing process quality.

Versions: Basic and Pro

Two versions of the sensorProbe1+ are available. The Basic version addresses smaller installations requiring straightforward temperature and humidity monitoring, independent of complex integrations. The Pro version, however, unlocks full capabilities for enterprises with large IT infrastructures, offering advanced protocol support, SNMPv3, and extensive virtual sensor options for comprehensive, hybrid monitoring scenarios.
