HW-group Poseidon2 3468 – Professional IP monitoring for IT and industry

HW-group Poseidon2 3468

The HW-group Poseidon2 3468 is a powerful IP-based monitoring system designed for critical infrastructures. Combining precise environmental monitoring, extensive sensor support, and flexible alarm functions, it is suitable for IT environments such as server rooms and data centers, as well as industry, building automation, and IoT applications.

Up to 8 sensors (1-Wire/1-Wire UNI) such as temperature, humidity, light, current, and voltage probes can be connected. Additionally, 4 digital dry contact inputs allow integration of door contacts, smoke detectors, or other status devices. This makes the Poseidon2 3468 a versatile platform for real-time infrastructure supervision and documentation.

Alarming & Data Logging

The device continuously monitors connected sensors and delivers instant alerts via email, SNMP trap, or SMS (via gateway). Relay outputs and virtual digital outputs (VDO) allow automated control of external devices such as fans or access systems. The built-in datalogger stores up to 250,000 values, which can be analyzed with HWg-PDMS and exported to MS Excel for compliance tracking and trend analysis.

IT & IoT Integration

The Poseidon2 3468 supports SNMPv3, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, HTTPS, and IPv6, enabling easy integration with SCADA, NMS, and IoT platforms. Developers benefit from SDKs (C++, PHP, C#, Java) and open APIs, making customized monitoring projects possible. SensDesk technology and the free HWg-Cloud offer centralized access, reporting, and mobile monitoring.

Relays & Virtual Outputs

Two integrated 230 V / 10 A relays allow direct control of external systems such as cooling, ventilation, or doors. Up to 8 VDOs support M2M automation between Poseidon2 and Damocles2 units, offering flexible automation without extra hardware.
