AKCP sensorProbe2+ LCD – Monitoring with direct display for IT and industry

AKCP sensorProbe2+ LCD

Companies dependent on stable IT environments and smooth production processes must continuously monitor their critical infrastructures. Whether in server room monitoring, data center supervision, or industrial integration, even the smallest changes in environmental parameters can have serious consequences. The AKCP sensorProbe2+ LCD offers a modern monitoring solution that combines technical flexibility with user-friendly operation. Its integrated LCD display makes it unique by allowing direct viewing of live sensor and system data without the need for external devices.

The system provides a scalable platform with up to four intelligent RJ-45 sensor ports and supports up to 400 online sensors in real time. With features such as Power over Ethernet (PoE), SNMP monitoring, Modbus integration, and extended IoT functionalities, the sensorProbe2+ LCD meets the requirements of IT, facility management, and industrial monitoring alike. It ensures efficient workflows, rapid fault detection, and maximum transparency in daily operations.

Direct Analysis via Integrated LCD Display

A key feature of the AKCP sensorProbe2+ LCD is its fully integrated front-panel display. The LCD screen allows immediate viewing of sensor readings without remote access or web login. Temperature deviations, humidity changes, or HVAC issues are clearly displayed, enabling faster reaction in critical situations.

Beyond measurements, the screen also displays status information on network connectivity, power supply, and system integrity. This ensures administrators know immediately whether the monitoring hardware is working correctly, reducing risks of misinterpretation in time-sensitive scenarios.

Flexible Sensor Integration

The AutoSense technology of the sensorProbe2+ LCD automatically detects any connected AKCP sensor. Setup is quick, reducing installation times significantly. In addition to standard sensors for server room monitoring such as temperature and humidity, it also supports advanced modules for airflow, smoke detection, or power monitoring. With up to 400 centrally managed sensors, even large-scale IT and industrial environments are fully covered.

PoE Monitoring for Easy Installation

Native support for Power over Ethernet simplifies installation considerably. A single network cable provides both power and data, eliminating extra wiring – a major advantage in tightly packed racks or remote installations. For redundancy, optional power supplies can be added, resulting in a reliable PoE-based monitoring system.

Protocols and Network Functionality

Supporting open standards, the sensorProbe2+ LCD can be easily integrated into IT and industrial environments. It supports SNMP monitoring (v1/v2/v3), secure HTTPS, and encrypted e-mail alerts. Modbus integration further enhances its usefulness for building automation and SCADA systems.

Advanced IoT features include MQTT/MQTTS, IPv6, and VPN compatibility, making it perfectly suited for cloud and edge computing environments where monitoring data must be processed at scale.

Alarm Management and Automation

The flexible alarm management system allows administrators to define thresholds and specify responses. These may include on-device alarms, e-mail notifications, SNMP traps to monitoring platforms, or direct activation of external devices such as emergency fans or warning lights. This ensures the sensorProbe2+ LCD is not just a passive monitoring unit but also an active component in a protection architecture.

Virtual Sensors and Rack Monitoring

Besides physical sensors, the sensorProbe2+ LCD supports up to 80 virtual sensors, enabling integration of external systems like UPS units, network switches, or climate controllers. Rack monitoring is also supported: values can be mapped to exact rack positions, giving administrators a visual overview and helping identify cooling inefficiencies or stress points.
